Here are some fun Time Challenges to Try at HOME!
Challenge #1: Get a partner, a plan sheet of paper a clock and or stop-watch, and a writing utensil. Your partner will time you to see how long it takes to write the following sentence: "Xavier and Kelsey ran home with a bag of candy, a pouch full of licorice, and a pair of two-liter bottles; one filled with Sprite; the other with Mountain Dew,". EXACTLY how i typed it onto here. Check out how long it takes you!!!! Then keep practicing using the same sentence and watch your speed grow!
Challenge #2: Get on a computer and open Microsoft Word or Notepad and get ready to type! You'll also need a stopwatch. Time yourself to see how long it takes to write ten pairs of ryhming words. OR you can time yourself to type the sentence above. Also! Everytime you do the ryhming pairs do different pairs, never the same one. Check how long it takes you see what fits you better. Writing short quick blurbs (ryhming pairs), or flowing sentences (the sentence). This is how you can learn more about you!
Challenge #3: Get out a piece of paper, a writing utensil, and a dictionary (if you don't have one skip this challenge). Time yourself to see how fast you can write the first twenty words in the dictionary (also, it can be ANY SORT of dictionary. You can also replace it with encyclopedias, thesauruses, anything of the sorts!) Do the next twenty words ( yes i know it will be different but just work with it)
Challenge #4: All you need is a piece of paper and a writing utensil. Time yourself to see how long it takes you to write the English Alphabet out 25 times. Then do it again and see if you get faster. Doing time challenges continously is a great way to build up your skill and flow, escpecially when using the alphabet.
